Cinderella Shoe Sign

I wanted to create a cute sign for my best friends daughter to put in her room. I had seen this Cinderella quote and just fell in love with it.

Here is how the sign turned out.

I started out with a piece of MDF board. I painted the board a rose pink color.

I then wanted to add a shimmer to the paint so I got some pearlizer to use. I didn't read the directions and just painted it over the paint but I suppose to add it to the paint. So after putting a coat of the pearlizer on I combined it with the rose pink paint and did another coat. This is how it turned out. It really did look good. I just need to learn to read the directions first.

Above are the paint and the pearlizer that I used on the sign.

I then cut out the letters for the quote in white vinyl. I then cut out the shoe and corner decoration in silver glitter adhesive backed paper.

I then cut out the inner part of the shoe with some pink decorative paper. I used mod podge to adhere the paper to the shoe and then attached rhinestones to the shoe also.

Here is the final product. I hope that you all like it. I love comments. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks so much!

  3. This is so cute!! My daughters room is sort of Cinderella themed and I would love to do something like this....I should try to decorate while I can, because before I know it she'll be dictating the decor!
